Crospovidone (Cross-linked Povidone, PVPP) is a high-purity pharmacopoeia-grade water-insoluble polymer auxiliary material compliant with USP, EP and Chinese Pharmacopoeia standards. It features excellent capillary activity and strong water absorption and swelling properties, with no solubility in water, organic solvents and acidic/alkaline solutions. As a super disintegrant for oral solid preparations, it can rapidly absorb water and swell to break tablet structure, effectively improving tablet disintegration speed and drug dissolution rate. It also has excellent adsorption performance, capable of adsorbing tannins and polyphenolic impurities.
